Team Canada will have to make a slight adjustment on the blue line for its next Olympic game.

Josh Morrissey will not be in the lineup against France on Sunday. The good news, however, is that he has not been ruled out for the remainder of the tournament.
The absence is being described as precautionary, suggesting that Canada’s medical staff is choosing to be cautious in the middle of a demanding Olympic schedule.
Morrissey was injured during Canada’s opening game and did not return afterward.
Since then, the coaching staff has opted to manage the situation carefully rather than rush one of its key defensemen back into action.
In the previous matchup against Switzerland, Travis Sanheim stepped into the lineup in Morrissey’s place.
The transition was smooth, as Canada continued its strong start to the tournament without missing a beat.

Canada off to dominant start

Canada opened the Olympics with a convincing 5-0 victory over Czechia and followed it up with a 5-1 win against Switzerland.
Through two games, the numbers speak for themselves: ten goals scored and just one allowed.
The team’s depth has also been on full display. Brad Marchand, forward of the Florida Panthers in the NHL, was left out of the lineup in a strategic decision that allowed Seth Jarvis to dress.
It was not performance-related, but rather a reflection of how much flexibility this roster provides the coaching staff. Brad Marchand is not believed to be injured.
That level of depth gives Canada the ability to rotate players while maintaining a high standard of play.
With two strong wins already secured, Canada heads into its game against France with confidence.
The main question now is how quickly Morrissey will be able to return and how the defensive pairings may continue to evolve as the tournament progresses.
