Florida Panthers fans are getting a Brad Marchand 1,000 points moment, and a Gregory Campbell memory, all in the same night.

Tuesday's pregame ceremony isn't just a silver stick and a handshake. It comes with a story that pulls the room back to Boston, and it lands because it feels personal.
The milestone itself happened on Nov. 13, 2025, when Marchand put up two assists in a 6-3 Florida win over the Washington Capitals.
That makes him the 102nd player in NHL history to reach 1,000 regular season points, and the Panthers later circled today to salute it properly.

As a fan, I love when a milestone comes with a real locker room story, not just a quick photo and a wave.
According to Panthers reporter Jameson Olive, Marchand said he once gifted the jacket he was wearing to Campbell at Christmas. For the 1,000-point celebration, Campbell returned it with special embroidery, which is an unreal full-circle move.
It also fits the old Bruins vibe, because Campbell was a heart-and-soul guy from those Merlot Line years, when details and effort mattered as much as goals.
Marchand has always mixed edge with offense, and the numbers back it up even now at 37 years old. Boston drafted him 71st overall in 2006, and he has never needed perfect conditions to produce.
The part that sticks with me is how Florida will make the ceremony feel like a team thing, not a solo victory lap. If the Panthers keep building that kind of room, the next big moment won't feel far away.
